KEMPO (AGES 15+)
The Kempo program is much more than a great workout. Kempo not only incorporates traditional techniques to develop speed, stamina, strength and agility. But the largest benefit many derive from the Kempo program from the highly effective self defense component.
Instructors will lead you through a wide variety of drills designed to help you kick faster, punch harder and know how to read your opponent. Self defense skills incorporate both empty hand and weapons defense and complexity and difficulty will increase as your skills improve – keeping you motivated and learning new skills. Forms training is a small but very beneficial component of your training as well. Helping you to develop your focus, balance, and concentration. This is a great compliment to the sparring drills that will help you develop great footwork, speed and defensive skills. More than just kicking and punching, Kempo incorporates a wide variety of skills and self defense techniques that keeps students motivated and working constantly learning. This is done all while developing life long skills, getting in great shape and having fun. |
Israeli Krav Maga (ages 15+)
Unfortunately Israeli Krav Maga is not available for the 2022 session.
Israeli Krav Maga (IKM) is designed to prepare civilians to defend against any type of street confrontation. Awareness training is paramount and de-escalation/avoidance tactics are heavily emphasized. IKM self-defense teaches students to defend against unarmed and armed assailants wielding any type if weapon, including edged, impact or a firearm. Multiple opponent strategies and tactics are also emphasized. Our training focuses on real-life, street-proven self-defense techniques, while integrating extensive fitness conditioning to further hone one’s skill sets. We train Men, Women and Teens, age 15 and up. Our goal is to teach students to be proficient in self-defense in the shortest time possible, while providing strong technique retention and dynamic training scenarios. Not only does Krav Maga provide invaluable skills, but it is also a great full body workout adaptable to all fitness and skill levels. |
